- Classic Tummy Tuck: this involves making a transverse incision above the pubic area, extending from hip to hip. The surgeon then removes excess skin and fat, tightens the abdominal muscles, and repositions the belly button.
- Mini Tummy Tuck: this is suitable for individuals with less excess skin and fat, primarily located below the belly button. It involves a shorter incision and focuses on addressing the lower abdomen.
- 270 Degree Tummy Tuck: this procedure is recommended for individuals who have significant excess skin and fat, not only in the front of the abdomen, but also on the sides. The incision extends beyond the hip bones to address these areas.
- Circumferential Tummy Tuck: also known as a body lift or a “360 degree”, this procedure is typically performed on individuals who have experienced significant weight loss. It involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen, back, and hips, resulting in a more comprehensive body contouring.
- Fleur de Lys Tummy Tuck: this is a variation of the traditional tummy tuck procedure. It is typically performed on individuals who have experienced significant weight loss or have excess skin and fat in both the horizontal and vertical directions of the abdomen. The surgeon performs a transverse excision across the lower abdomen, similar to a traditional tummy tuck. However, in addition to this, a vertical excision is made from the lower incision up towards the sternum. This creates an “inverted T-shaped” scar.
- Combination Procedures: In some cases, tummy tuck surgery may be combined with other procedures such as liposuction, muscle repair or hernia repair to further enhance the overall results.
